Immediate need for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at a growing Manufacturing facility located in Covington, GA for a direct hire opportunity. This position is responsible to apply Lean Manufacturing principles to manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste. The ideal candidate will have a B.S in Engineering and a minimum and must have experience with the processes of metal fabrication involving assembly line manufacturing to be considered. This is a direct hire opportunity.
Responsibilities for the Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Assist with design, fabrication, setup and improvement of tooling and machines used in manufacturing
Start and complete capital equipment purchase projects
Work closely with support staff to improve product quality and verify that products meet customer requirements
Requirements for the Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related education.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in manufacturing environment
Must have experience with metal fabrication and assembly line manufacturing to be considered
AutoCAD or Solidworks design software experience is highly preferred
Project management / supervisory experience is highly preferred
