POSITION
Summary:
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, this position is accountable for ensuring the daily effective production, coordination of preventative maintenance program, supervision of hourly employees and ensuring plant overall equipment effectiveness standards are met on a continuous and cost efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Implementing and sustaining an effective preventative maintenance program
Managing a team of hourly Maintenance Technicians
Effectively manage machine down time including hydrogen environment furnaces
Implement applicable metrics to measure machine uptime
Analyze root causes of repetitive equipment failures
Implementing and sustaining a spare parts program
Controllable spending within budget
Strategic planning & budgeting
Housekeeping
Project Management (research, justification & implementation)
Identifying technical gaps within the department and propose/implement solutions
Author justifications for capital expenditures
Coordinate the activities of the maintenance team with all other departments
Safety responsibilities which include: supporting safety initiatives, proactively addressing safety issues, timely reporting of all accidents, corrective action on all accidents, enforcing all safety rules, machine guarding, housekeeping, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
B.S. Degree in Engineering
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
5 years management experience in a manufacturing environment
5-10 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
Must have working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple writtenEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
