Chief Medical OfficerDescription:
JOB PURPOSEThe Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the coordination, direction and planning of all medical affairs within the hospital and assuring continuing operations and clinical functions remain in accordance with policies and standards set by the PHC Board, PHC Management and/or Medical Staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops, implements, and maintains all essential medical services and clinical operations and assures conformance to standards set by the Board and Executive Management Team and governmental regulations.
Remains working expert for Best Practices for medical services and clinical operations.
Represents hospital at medical society, agency, and other professional meetings.
Works with leadership to define performance standards and evaluation, oversight and review process.
Lead quality agenda for the hospital.
Aides with staffing and qualification reviews for physician needs in all medical service departments.
Aides in organizational short-term and long-term strategic planning and provides recommendations based on current operations and improvement opportunities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESMust be an expert of clinical operations, controls and clinical practice regulation.
Individual must be a strong leader and mentor, with a high level of integrity and dependability and be focused on achieving results in an accurate and timely fashion.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with astute interpersonal skills.
Must have foundation to help lead complex performance and quality improvement initiatives.
Be able to work in a matrix relationship to ensure local and system goals are met.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREDA medical degree from an accredited university.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREDEight (8) years of experience in a healthcare setting, to include experience serving in medical staff governance process (served on MEC, credentials committee, peer review or board of directors) or significant designated leadership responsibility such as service line leader, department chair or group medical director is required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAWCandidate must be a licensed physician in the state of Georgia.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONSBoard certified in a specialty recognized by the ABMS requiredMasters prepared/MBA MHA, MPH, preferred.
Previous experience as Hospital CMO, or position enforcing policy, bi-laws is strongly preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
