Job Description:
OVERVIEW The Storeroom Clerk performs all tasks necessary to ensure we meet the department goals for storeroom and inventory management, including:
100% accurate spare parts inventory, zero stock-outs, clean, organized, and orderly storeroom, standardized storeroom processes and inventory controls, and customer service satisfaction.
The Storeroom Clerk interacts with plant personnel at all levels on a daily basis.
Must be able to work a 3-2-2 shift with your primary work shift being during the day only.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Receive, issue and stock/restock parts AM/SM team activities and other plant initiatives Process purchase requests and set up part numbers Research purchasing and inventory issues Follow up on orders/open PO's Assist Techs in finding and ordering Parts GMP's and housekeeping Outbound prep for repairs/returns Cycle counting and inventory adjustments Calibrate with vendors to keep current on parts and explore new innovations Drive development of one-point lessons and technical communications to ensure best practices are used at the site Participate in quarterly downtime maintenance and projects form a kitting /issuing parts standpoint Utilize training database or develop materials to facilitate training on key storeroom practices when necessary MINIMUM QUALIFICAITONS High school diploma Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and experience with plant equipment Self-starter able to establish priorities, develop action plans, and drive projects to completion.
Strong training skills to transfer system knowledge to others Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with a continuous improvement mindset Ability to accomplish objectives working with and through people on their teams and at all other levels Demonstrated organizational follow-up skills Self-motivated to work well independently as well as collaboratively within a team Strong computer skills including Maximo, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others Ability to read and understand parts manuals and drawings Ability to lift up to 50 pounds PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Advanced knowledge of stocking and maintaining parts Pervious work in storeroom Company Overview:
